Welcome to No Dust

Unless otherwise noted, all images on No Dust are my own work. Including this one.

Welcome to No Dust, a journal for the chaos of 2025 and beyond.

Here, we don’t mince words. We aim directly at the bullseye, even if we miss a thousand times.

The basic tier of No Dust is completely free. Why wouldn’t you subscribe right now?

No Dust is written by Wuliao, a semi-pseudonymous pen name, and collects reflections on the practice of everyday life informed by Chinese philosophy and Buddhist texts.

New readers should start with the intro post, which explains the title and genesis of this Substack.

Like clouds creating rain, like the moon reflected in streams, like an orchid in deep darkness, like spring hides in all things. -Hongzhi Zhengjue, Song Dynasty Meditation Master

Original translations of Chinese philosophy form the core of No Dust. Texts translated will vary from classic works of philosophy to poetry to excerpts from the Buddhist canon in Classical Chinese. Much of the content focuses on meditation methods and their practical application in everyday life.
